The Argentine Football Association dates the XX Cultura AFA chess cup, a team tournament exclusive to teams of affiliated football clubs in three categories, on Sunday 26 July 2026 at the stadium of Club Nueva Chicago, and says 113 teams from 33 clubs played the 2025 edition at Club Independiente. A club news item calls the cup of Saturday 7 June 2025 the 25th edition, and a local paper counts 140 teams in 2026.
